Quiksilver Pro France Round 2

Round 2 of the Quiksilver Pro kicked off at first light in pumping six-to-eight foot (2 - 2.5 metre) waves at Culs Nus for another exciting day of action. Competition ran through the second round of the men’s event followed by Round 1 and Heats 1 - 3 of Round 2 of the women’s event.

The waves may have been pumping but the average heat scores were low with the highest average heat score of 6.66 in heat 2 with Owen Wright and Caio Ibelli. Wright scored a 14.57 and Ibelli a 12.07.

The highest score of the round was by 11 time World Champ Kelly Slater who scored a 17.67 in heat 3 against Aritz Aranburu. Slater scored some barrels and back-to-back scores of 8.67 and 8.70 against Aranburu's heat total of 1.93.
